Feeling lost in a maze of grant websites, unsure which ones can truly support your voluntary group's goals? This course empowers you to supercharge your grant-finding skills and become a funding champion! Learn how to sign up for a variety of funding websites, navigate their search engines, and set up alerts to stay on top of new opportunities. We'll also show you how to check eligibility requirements and decipher grant guidelines with ease, turning grant applications from a struggle to a success story!

What will I learn?

On this course, you will learn:

  • How to sign up for a range of funding websites to support your application.
  • How to use website search engines effectively and how to save searches and set up email alerts to support your search for appropriate funding.
  • How to check eligibility for grant funding and understand the funding guidelines of a specific grant.

What do I need to join the course?

A willingness to learn and a positive attitude! You should be interested in finding out more about grant funding and whether this suits your community group/voluntary organisation.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

You might find it useful to bring your own smartphone or tablet along to the session to access the internet at certain points in the session. We do have some tablets available in our centre for you to use if you do not have your own. You might also find it helpful to bring a notebook and pen to make some notes to help with your learning.
