What are you doing to keep learners safe?

The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.

What do I need to join the course?

Enthusiasm to learn more! You do not need to have any previous experience or knowledge of dressmaking to join this course.

What do I need to bring with me?

All craft materials will be supplied on the day. You may wish to bring along a notebook and pen for any notes that you want to make.

How will I be taught?

You will be taught by an experienced tutor and will take part in a range of activities including demonstrations, group and individual practical work.

What will I learn?

A fun free session to try out different things on our sewing machines. Gain confidence in operating a machine, and learn a variety of simple stitches and applications resulting in a 'quick make' to take away.

What can this course lead to?

Once you’ve attended this course you’ll be in a position to decide whether you wish to continue to learn more about dressmaking. If so then you may wish to progress to one of our other dressmaking courses and your tutor will give you more information about this in the session. If you want to try a different subject then we offer a range of opportunities in computer skills, English, maths, employability, creative skills, retail, photography, supporting teaching and learning in schools and many more.
