Course details

From 'Joseph the Dreamer' in the Old Testament to the 20th century psychologist, Freud, dreams have fascinated us. Dreams can be understood to be the most spontaneous expression of human existence. This free try session will give you an opportunity to find out more about interpreting dreams and some of our other health and wellbeing or mental health and counselling courses. You will also be able to find out more about our adult learning centres and meet some of our team, before deciding whether or not you want to continue to learn more.

What are you doing to keep learners safe?

The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.

If you’re concerned about visiting one of our centres, please get in touch so we can discuss it with you.

What do I need to join the course?

Enthusiasm to learn more! You do not need to have any previous experience or knowledge in this field to join the course.

What do I need to bring with me to the first session?

You might like to bring a notebook and pen with you.

How will I be taught?

As part of this session you will have the opportunity to discuss dreams that you may have in pairs and small groups. You will be guided by the tutor to add meaning and start to make sense of the messages that the dreams could be conveying.

What will I learn?

How to begin to make sense of your dreams and consider what this is telling you about your life in general.

What could I do next?

Once you’ve attended this course you’ll be in a position to decide whether you wish to continue to learn more about dreams. If so then you may wish to progress to our how to interpret your dreams or other health and wellbeing or counselling and mental health courses and your tutor will give you more information about this in the session. If you want to try a different subject then we offer a range of opportunities in computer skills, English, maths, employability, creative skills, retail, photography, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS) and many more.

Can we help you to learn?

You can find more information on the Financial help and additional support page or you can contact us to talk about this and any other support we can provide.
