The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.

Enthusiasm to learn more! You do not need to have any previous experience or knowledge to join this course.
It would be useful if you could bring pen, paper or notebook.
You will be taught and supported by an experienced tutor and will take part in a range of activities including group work and individual work. You may wish to carry out work outside the classroom to help you practise and apply the skills and knowledge gained.
You will learn what is meant by confidence and how negative thoughts can affect this. You will then learn about how to change a negative thought into a positive thought and other strategies to improve your selfesteem and confidence. You will learn what is meant by stress and examine your own stress triggers. You will also look at ways in which the use of assertiveness strategies can help you in your home and work life.
After successfully completing this course you may choose to progress to one of our other courses such as mindfulness or an introduction to counselling. Your tutor will discuss this and other available options with you.
