Discover how to recreate one of Spain’s most celebrated gastronomic traditions with our Spanish cookery session.

Under an expert tutor you will learn to create typically Spanish meat, fish and/or vegetable recipes to include Andalusian chicken, ham and cheese croquetas, sautéed chorizo, patatas bravas and prawn tapas. You will learn about the traditional tapas cooking techniques and be able to take home recipe cards so that you can re-create these easy to make and authentic dishes at home! Perfect for sharing and entertaining.

What will I learn?

Our tutor will guide you through the processes of preparing and assembling these delicious Spanish dishes. You will also learn some useful tips and tricks to impress your guests with your presentation skills.

What do I need to join the course?

Just an enthusiasm to learn and a willingness to have a go.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

Please bring an apron with you and 2 containers with lids to take home what you make.  You will also need to decide which two recipes you want to make during the course and bring the necessary ingredients with you.

   

If you wish to make a ‘Ham and cheese croquetas’ please bring with you: (*)

  • ½ small onion
  • 70g diced smoked ham
  • 25g mature cheddar
  • 25g gruyere, finely grated 

(*)  You can substitute ham with an alternative vegetable, for example onion or mushroom, and use for a vegetarian option.

   

If you wish to make ‘Andalusian style chicken’ please bring with you:

  • ½ small onion
  • 1 large chicken breast
  • ½ red chilli
  • 3 cherry tomatoes

   

If you wish to make ‘Sauteed chorizo with red wine’ please bring with you:

  • ½ onion
  • 1 fat garlic clove  
  • 200g cooking chorizo 
  • 50ml red wine

   

If you wish to make ‘Patatas bravas’ please bring with you:

  • ½ small onion
  • 1 garlic clove 
  • 1 can of chopped tomato (110g)
  • 450g potato 

   

If you wish to make ‘Prawn tapas’ please bring with you:

  • 110g prawns 
  • 90ml dry white wine 
  • 1 -2 cloves garlic
