Anyone who has become absorbed in a hobby will tell you how the activity can totally engage your attention and harness your creativity. Being "in the moment" is an essential part of following a pattern or instructions; these qualities can become a form of mindfulness practice, bringing you peace, relaxation and a sense of wellbeing.

Crochet is a cheap and portable hobby – you can make projects for yourself or for your home or to give as gifts to friends and family. The satisfaction of creating these items and seeing others admire them also helps to encourage positive feelings, satisfaction and happiness.

Come along to this beginner’s course, learn the basics of crochet and engage in a relaxing and productive craft activity! You’ll be able to make and take home granny squares, a coaster or a phone cover.

What are you doing to keep learners safe?

The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.

If you’re concerned about visiting one of our centres, please get in touch so we can discuss it with you.

What do I need to join the course?

This course is aimed at beginners and no prior knowledge of the craft is required.
