If you are unsure about how to join a virtual learning session please contact us as soon as possible, but at the latest 2 working days prior to your course starting. We will then arrange for one of our Personal Advisors to contact you and talk you through how to access the sessions.
You may also want to attend our Preparing for virtual learning short session, this will help you to get started and feel confident in participating with any future virtual learning courses. For more details on this please search on the course booking system or telephone us on 01482 887670 or email learn@eastriding.gov.uk.
Your eLearning will be supported online by an experienced tutor through small and large group discussions, video clips, and reading materials. You will also be invited to develop your skills and understanding through wider reading between sessions.
Attendance at all sessions is important if you are to receive the full benefits of this course. You will be given the opportunity to have one to one tutorials with your tutor to discuss personal progress.
During the course you will learn how to identify the buttons and different modes of your own camera, how to capture images using different compositional elements and how to download, save and print your images effectively.
You may wish to develop your skills further with our developing photography skills course, your tutor will provide more information about this at the end of your course.
