The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.
If you’re concerned about visiting one of our centres, please get in touch so we can discuss it with you.
Enthusiasm to learn more! You do not need to have any previous experience or knowledge to join this course.
Please bring along a notebook and pen. We are following safety guidelines so, at the moment, we are unable to provide these for you. You should also bring your own digital camera (DSLR, bridge or manual compact camera).
You will be taught and supported by an experienced and enthusiastic photography tutor, take part in a range of activities including demonstrations, group and individual work and receive support for your own ideas.
During the course you will learn how to identify the buttons and different modes of your own camera, how to capture images using different compositional elements and how to download, save and print your images effectively.
You may wish to develop your skills further with our Developing photography skills course, or you may want to go down an accredited route with our Photography level 1 award. Your tutor will provide more information about this at the end of your course. You may also consider some of our other Adult Learning courses such as knitting, dressmaking, pattern making, flower arranging and mindfulness or computer skills, English, maths and employability courses.
You can find more information on the Financial help and additional support page or you can contact us to talk about this and any other support we can provide.
