The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.
If you’re concerned about visiting one of our centres, please get in touch so we can discuss it with you.
You don’t need any previous experience, just a willingness to come and take part. It will be helpful if you have access to a computer or laptop to put into practice the skills that you learn on this course.
Please bring along a notebook and pen. We are following safety guidelines so, at the moment, we are unable to provide these for you. If you have your own laptop, you are welcome to bring it. All of our classrooms have free wifi.
This course will be delivered by an experienced tutor in one of our computer suites. This hands-on session will include demonstrations as well as group activities and individual exercises.
During the session you will participate in some basic mouse and keyboard activities to get you started using a computer. The tutor will explain how digital skills can benefit you at home and/or work, and what else you could learn on a follow on course.
Once you’ve attended this course you’ll be in a position to decide whether you wish to continue to learn more about the subject and perhaps sign up to our six week ‘ICT for complete beginners’ course. If you want to try a different subject then we offer a range of opportunities in English, maths, employability, creative skills, retail, photography, supporting teaching and learning in schools and many more.
You can find more information on the Financial help and additional support page or you can contact us to talk about this and any other support we can provide.
