Mindfulness has enjoyed tremendous popularity in the last few years – it is said that it can reduce stress and help to create a better quality of life. On this FREE course, you will have an introduction as to what mindfulness is, discover what our adult learning centres are like and meet some of our team.

What are you doing to keep learners safe?

The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.

If you’re concerned about visiting one of our centres, please get in touch so we can discuss it with you.

What do I need to join the course?

Enthusiasm to learn more! You do not need to have any previous experience or knowledge of mindfulness to join this course.

What do I need to bring with me to the first session?

Please bring along a notebook and pen. We are following safety guidelines so, at the moment, we are unable to provide these for you.

How will I be taught?

You will be taught by an experienced tutor and will take part in a range of activities including demonstrations, group and individual practical work.

What will I learn?

You will try out some mindfulness techniques, find out how mindfulness can be beneficial to you in your everyday life and what other courses are available, should you decide that you want to continue to learn more.

What can this course lead to?

Once you’ve attended this course you’ll be in a position to decide whether you wish to continue to learn more about mindfulness. If so then you may wish to progress to one of our other mindfulness courses and your tutor will give you more information about this in the session. If you want to try a different subject then we offer a range of opportunities in computer skills, English, maths, employability, creative skills, retail, photography, supporting teaching and learning in schools and many more.

Can we help you to learn?

You can find more information on the Financial help and additional support page or you can contact us to talk about this and any other support we can provide.
