The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.
If you’re concerned about visiting one of our centres, please get in touch so we can discuss it with you.
Enthusiasm to learn more! You do not need to have any previous experience of working in schools to attend this course. Your tutor will advise you on the routes to take, should you wish to progress further in this area.
Please bring along a notebook and pen. We are following safety guidelines so, at the moment, we are unable to provide these for you.
You will be taught by an experienced tutor and will take part in a range of activities including demonstrations, group and individual practical work.
You will learn more about the role of teaching assistants in schools, along with the skills and knowledge you need should you decide that you would like to follow this as a career path.
Should you decide that you want to continue to work towards a qualification, you will first meet with one of our learning advisors. From here you will attend the Introduction to STLS course, before then embarking on the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. You may decide, however, that this is not what you are looking for now and wish to try a different subject. We offer a range of opportunities in computer skills, English, maths, employability, creative skills, retail skills, photography and much more.
You can find more information on the Financial help and additional support page or you can contact us to talk about this and any other support we can provide.
