Course details

If any part of your role involves dealing with post and parcels then you should undertake this short eLearning course. Whether you work in the despatch office or you pick up the mail for your office every now and then, everyone should be aware of the dangers of suspect packages, how to identify them and what to do if you find one.

The council receives a vast amount of mail, parcels and other deliveries – from letters to pallets - on a daily basis. This offers anyone intent on causing harm or disruption a potential route onto the premises. This course will give you the knowledge you need to identify any potentially suspect packages that you may come across, and what steps you should take to ensure your own and others’ safety.

Safety at the council is everyone’s responsibility, and if any part of your role involves handling mail or deliveries then you would benefit from this course.
