You’ll bolster your skills with new techniques and styles, and you’ll learn how – and why – to implement them into your own writing. You’ll also have time in each session to workshop with your peers, developing your unique ideas and styles together.
It would be useful for you to have attended our Getting started with and Developing Poetry courses; if not you should have a basic grounding in poetry writing.
Bring something to write with and on, notebook and pen, laptop, tablet etc.
You will be taught in a small, friendly group by our enthusiastic and experienced tutor. You will explore poets and poetry that demonstrate the concepts you are learning. The sessions are interative and will produce your poetry through a workshop environment. You will be able to share your poetry with your peers and give/receive feedback.
The two hour sessions are divided into one hour of new knowledge/learning, and one hour of a poetry workshop environment for learners to apply, practice and also share for peer review/feedback.
