During this conversational Spanish for beginners course you will focus on how to share information about yourself and how to engage in simple conversation with others to find out more about them. You will learn to talk about your family, job, leisure time, hobbies and interests. There are lots of reasons that you might choose to learn to speak Spanish, whether it be for travel, employment, leisure, family connections or research. So if you’re heading to a Spanish speaking country on holiday or for business, or have Spanish family and friend connections and want to start to hold simple conversations, this beginner’s course is for you. This course is part of our conversational Spanish for beginners programme and you can join at any stage.

What are you doing to keep learners safe?

The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.

Please bring a notebook, a pen and a folder with you.

How will I be taught?

You will be taught in a mixture of Spanish and English from the beginning and will be encouraged and supported to speak in Spanish from week one. There will be group and individual tasks and suggestions made of ways to practise away from sessions.

On this course you will learn to:

talk about where you live and what you do
talk about your hobbies and interests
talk about what you like and what you don’t like!

This course is part of our Conversational Spanish for Beginners programme, your tutor will tell you about further steps and topics that are available. If you want to try a different subject then we offer a range of opportunities in computer skills, English, maths, employability, creative skills, retail, photography, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS) etc.
