As the course is being delivered on-line through Microsoft Teams you will need to ensure that you are able to connect to the internet, have a web browser (e.g. Google chrome, Microsoft Edge) and are able to follow the links to take part in the on-line activities. This will include having some basic computer skills, including being able to use a keyboard and mouse.
This course is delivered on-line on Microsoft Teams. You will not need to attend any classroom delivery but you will need to commit to attending the on-line sessions at the specified dates and times. In order to participate in the on-line sessions you will need access to the following:
If you are unsure about how to join an on-line learning session please contact us as soon as possible, but at the latest 2 working days prior to your course starting. We will then arrange for one of our Personal Advisors to contact you and talk you through how to access the sessions.
You may also want to attend our Preparing For Virtual Learning short session, this will help you to get started and feel confident in participating with any future on-line learning courses. For more details on this please search on the course booking system or telephone us on 01482 887670 or email learn@eastriding.gov.uk.
You will be taught online by an experienced tutor and will take part in a range of activities including demonstrations, group and individual practical work.
You will learn some of the skills and techniques that will help you to become more assertive, improve your self-esteem and boost your self-confidence.
Once you’ve attended this course you’ll be in a position to decide whether you wish to continue to learn more about self-esteem and confidence building or perhaps try a different adult learning course.
Our centre staff will give you more information about this; we offer a range of courses that you may be interested in such as craft, art, drawing, paper sculpture, as well as computer and ICT, English, maths and employability skills.
You can find more information on the Financial help and additional support page or you can contact us to talk about this and any other support we can provide.
