Course details

When we mention digital skills, we’re talking about the ways that you can use your computer – or your tablet, or even your smartphone – to make your life just a little bit easier and more convenient.

This course is for absolute beginners, and will give you the skills you need to make the best use of the technology you have to hand. From how to turn your device on and off safely and use different input devices – like a keyboard, mouse, touchpad or touchscreen – to searching online and using digital skills to become more independent.

By the end of the course you’ll have a much better understanding of how your device works, what tools are best for several tasks you’re likely to want to perform often and how you can use technology to gain your own independence.

What do I need to join the course?

As the course is being delivered virtually through Microsoft Teams you will need to ensure that you are able to connect to the internet, have a web browser (e.g. Google chrome, Microsoft Edge) and are able to follow the links to take part in the virtual activities.
