Are you looking for work or considering a career change? If so, then enrolling on an Employability course is an ideal starting point, whether you’re stepping into the world of work for the first time, returning to work after a break or are ready for a change in your current role.

Our Employability courses are designed to help you to achieve your goals, from building your confidence and searching for jobs that are right for you, to building your CV and applying for jobs.

This free Try Employability session will give you an introduction to our Employability course, so you can find out what’s on offer, meet one of our tutors and take your first step towards getting the role you want.

What will I learn?

You'll learn about what's included in our Employability course offer and how this could help you with applying for jobs and moving into a new role. You'll be supported to identify areas of employability you'd like to develop, ranging from building your confidence, to beginning the application process and making sure you are interview-ready. You'll also be able to find out whether any of our other courses could help you to achieve your goals.

Your tutor will give you advice to support you with your next steps and they’ll also tell you about all of the other learning opportunities that you have access to, including help with developing your maths and English skills, joining one of our creative skills classes or sessions to improve your health, wellbeing, confidence or resilience.

Our team will be there to support you at every step of your journey and we always welcome your feedback to help us ensure that you feel safe, happy, supported and welcome.

What do I need to join the course?

You do not need any experience of Employability, but you should be interested in looking for work and applying for jobs.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

We recommend that you bring a notebook and a pen.

What could I do next?

You could progress to our full Employability course and work towards achieving a qualification.

You may be interested in our other qualifications that are designed to help you to build your CV and to gain employment, such as Customer Service, Team Leading, Counselling, Mental Health Awareness and working in schools.

You might choose to improve your English, maths or digital skills to develop your employability skills even further.

Alternatively, you may decide to explore our wider course offer, which includes subjects such as speaking confidently in public, self-esteem and confidence building or volunteering skills.

Can we help you to learn?

You can find more information on the Financial help and additional support page or you can contact us to talk about this and any other support we can provide.
