What do I need to join the course?

Enthusiasm to learn more! You do not need to have any previous experience or knowledge of dressmaking to join this course.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

All craft materials will be supplied on the day. You may wish to bring along a notebook and pen for any notes that you want to make.

How will I be taught?

You will be taught and supported by an experienced tutor and will take part in a range of activities including group work and individual work.

What will I learn?

You will gain confidence in using a sewing machine and you will learn some simple stitches, that will result in you producing your own ‘quick make’ that you can be proud to take away after the session

What could I do next?

Once you’ve attended this course you’ll be in a position to decide whether you wish to continue to learn more about dressmaking. If so then you may wish to progress to one of our other dressmaking courses and your tutor will give you more information about this in the session.
