Knowing the names of your favourite type of food and drinks in Spanish may be a lifesaver when you are travelling around in a Spanish speaking country! During this conversational Spanish course you will learn the names for drinks as well as the different names for the famous Spanish tapas and other popular dishes. You will also learn how to order a meal at different times of the day and how to make table reservations at a local bar or restaurant. There are lots of reasons that you might choose to learn to speak Spanish, whether it be for travel, employment, leisure, family connections or research. So if you’re heading to a Spanish speaking country on holiday or for business, or have Spanish family and friend connections and want to start to hold simple conversations, this beginner’s course is for you. This course is part of our conversational Spanish for beginners programme and you can join at any stage.

What are you doing to keep learners safe?

The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.

How will I be taught?

You will be taught in a mixture of Spanish and English from the beginning and will be encouraged and supported to speak in Spanish from week one. There will be group and individual tasks and suggestions made of ways to practise away from sessions.

What will I learn?

On this course you will learn:

to request information about different type of food and drinks
to book a table and order a meal and drinks at a bar or restaurant.
to ask for your favourite type of food and drinks
