There are lots of reasons that you might choose to learn to speak Spanish, whether it be for travel, employment, leisure, family connections or research. So if you’re heading to a Spanish speaking country on holiday or for business, or have Spanish family and friend connections and want to start to hold simple conversations, this beginner’s course is for you.
This course is part of our conversational Spanish for beginners programme which will enable you to learn basic Spanish on the theme of shopping and directions. You can join at any stage of our programme.

What do I need to bring with me to the first session?
Please bring a notebook, a pen and a folder with you.
How will I be taught?
You will be taught in a mixture of Spanish and English from the beginning and will be encouraged and supported to speak in Spanish from week one. There will be group and individual tasks and suggestions made of ways to practise away from sessions.
What will I learn?
On this course you will learn:
- to recognise and say the names of a range of stores and what products they sell
- to ask for different items in a shop and be able to describe a range of products
- to ask about opening and closing times.
