What do I need to join the course?

Enthusiasm to learn more! You do not need to have any previous experience or knowledge to join this course. You will need to have a Smartphone with a working camera.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

You will need a notebook and pen. You should also bring your own Smartphone with working camera.

How will I be taught?

You will be taught and supported by an experienced and enthusiastic photography tutor, take part in a range of activities including demonstrations, group and individual work and receive support for your own ideas.

What will I learn?

By the end of the course you will:

• have a basic understanding of how to use a Smartphone for photography
• recognise the camera application (app) on your Smartphone
• know the different types of photography that can be taken on your smartphone
• use basic camera settings to capture photographs with your smartphone
• use the Photo app for simple editing

What could I do next?

Having completed this session you may choose to go on to the Having fun with your smartphone course or to one of our other photography courses-your tutor will tell you more about these.
