Come along to this FREE Family learning session and we’ll show you how to have fun with your child and recycle old, unwanted garments into a unique Halloween costume you can keep forever! We will also make a mask to go with your costume made from unwanted materials. Work with your child to learn some new ideas and basic craft techniques to up-cycle an existing garment and turn it into your own, inexpensive and original costume.

This course is most suitable for parents/carers with children aged five to eleven years.

What will I learn?

On this course you and your child will learn some of the techniques of up-cycling old garments and turning them into something new and unique.

How much will it cost?

This course is funded through Tailored Learning with the purpose of supporting children’s learning. Through this funding, we can offer the course free of charge.

What do I need to join the course?

This course is designed for parents and carers to work with their children: The course is most suitable for parents/carers with children aged five to eleven years.

Children must be supervised at all times by the accompanying adult. (Maximum of 2 children per adult).

What do I need to provide for the first session?

You should bring an old t-shirt, shirt, or other garments you no longer need to use as the basis for your costume. Please come along with some ideas of what you would like to make.
