A willingness to learn and a positive attitude! You would benefit from knowing how to use a keyboard and mouse to interact with the computer and be able to open applications. If you would like to brush up on these skills first, why not complete our Using Your Computer: Mouse and Keyboard Skills course first. You will also need to have a basic knowledge of using your emails, including how to access your email account and send/receive emails. If you would like to learn more about this first, you can attend Using Your Computer: Managing Emails (Step 1) to learn the basics of emails before joining this course.
You might find it helpful to bring a notebook and pen to make some notes to help with your learning. It would be helpful if you already know your email address and password ahead of the session.
You can choose to complete some of our other digital courses to improve your computer skills. As a next step, you could choose to learn about using the internet, or even managing your files and folders. You might also like to learn more about your smartphone or tablet by attending some of our smartphones and tablets courses.
You can find more information on the Financial help and additional support page or you can contact us to talk about this and any other support we can provide.
