Crochet is a bit like knitting, but uses a single hook rather than needles, and projects can grow rather more quickly. It’s a simple but effective way of making unique blankets, cardigans, and lots more.

On this course you’ll learn the basics of crochet technique. You’ll start by seeing how to pull loops through loops to make a chain, then you’ll learn how to vary this with single, double, and treble stitches.

You’ll learn how to follow a crochet pattern, and you’ll practice turning your work to create a square, and how to keep your work flat and neat.

What will I learn?

On this course you will learn how to:

  • Make a foundation chain along with a single, double, and treble stitches
  • Read a crochet pattern
  • Turn your work to make a square
  • Keep your work flat

How much will it cost?

This course is funded through Tailored Learning with the purpose of creative art. The cost of this course is visible at the top of this page. A concession may be available dependent on circumstances.
