During this Conversational Spanish course we will be focussing on the theme of travelling. You will find out how to book accommodation, buy tickets to get around on public transport, and ask for help at the tourist information centre.
There are lots of reasons that you might choose to learn to speak Spanish, whether it be travel, employment, leisure, family connections, or research. So, if you’re heading to a Spanish speaking country on holiday or for business, or have Spanish family and friend connections and want to start to hold simple conversations, this beginner’s course is for you.
This course is delivered via virtual learning on Microsoft Teams and is part of our Conversational Spanish for Beginners programme. It is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those wishing to re-cap on the basics. You will learn some basic Spanish on the theme of travel and accommodation. You can join at any stage of our programme.

If you choose to join this Spanish course you will be supported by our dedicated staff, learn in a small friendly and welcoming group, have the opportunity to take part in activities to practise your skills, be encouraged to continue to practise when you are away from the classroom and receive lots of encouragement to help you build both your skills and your confidence.
As well as working in groups, you will benefit from regular time working with your tutor, discussing your progress and planning your next steps. They will also tell you about all of the other great opportunities that you have access to including help with developing your skills, joining one of our creative skills classes or sessions to improve your health, wellbeing, confidence or resilience. If you are looking for work or aiming for a change of role, then your tutor will also make you aware of the employability programmes we have available to support you in achieving your employment goals.
You should have attended the Spanish Basic Vocabulary course, before enrolling.
You will be taught in a mixture of Spanish and English from the beginning and will be encourage and supported to speak in Spanish from week one. There will be group and individual tasks and suggestions made of ways to practise away from sessions.
You may find it useful to have a notebook and a pen.
