No Indian feast is complete without chicken tikka, chapatis, pakora and saag aloo. Come along and learn step by step how to combine various herbs and spices to create these authentic and nutritious Indian dishes. Our three hour session is designed to give you total confidence to use lots of different ingredients and techniques to be able to create these dishes at home for your friends and family. Take home what you make and receive recipe cards for the items that you have cooked.

What will I learn?

Our tutor will guide you through the processes of preparing these Indian dishes, giving you the confidence and skills needed to make them again at home. You will also learn some useful tips and tricks on how to present your dishes and also learn about the nutritional and cost benefits of home cooking.

What could I do next?

Our cookery classroom opened at the Cottingham Adult Learning Centre in December 2018. We're really excited to be able to offer a range of seasonal courses that appeal to 'first time cooks and bakers', learners who want to learn more specific skills and families who want to learn to cook family meals together. Your tutor will discuss our range of short part time courses and one off masterclasses with you including topics such as bread, biscuits, soups, batch cooking, desserts, family cookery, speciality world cuisine, healthy eating, meals on a budget and pastry making to name but a few.

Can we help you to learn?
