Nothing says Easter like a hot cross bun or a slice of simnel cake. Why not step up your game this year and learn how to make your very own Easter treats to wow your friends with?

Our experienced tutor will demonstrate the techniques you’ll need to get a perfect bake every time, then you’ll have chance to make your own to take home with you. You’ll get tips and tricks and feedback as you work, and you’ll get recipe cards to keep too so you can perfect your buns and cakes at home.

What do I need to join the course?

Just an enthusiasm to learn and a willingness to have a go.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

Please bring an apron and containers to take your dishes home with you.

All ingredients will be provided for the session.

How will I be taught?

You will participate in both group demonstrations and work alongside the tutor to practise the skills and techniques of preparing and making these Easter-themed treats.

What will I learn?

Our tutor will guide you through the processes of preparing these Easter treats, giving you the confidence and skills needed to make them again at home. You will also learn some useful tips and tricks on how to present your dishes and also learn about the nutritional and cost benefits of home cooking.

We will also cover the nutritional and financial benefits of home cooking, such as how to batch cook to fill up your freezer and use up those leftovers!
