Batch cooking and freezing are brilliant ways to create nutritious meals on a budget, prepare healthy options and stock up for a later date.

In this session our experienced tutor will show you how to save money and energy by batch cooking and freezing popular recipes. You will start by following the simple steps to make a mince base, a roux sauce and mashed potatoes. These can the be transformed into a number of dishes including cottage pie and lasagna which can then be portioned up and frozen. You will explore a further range of simple, healthy dishes to prepare that can be frozen as an alternative to shop bought ‘ready meals’.

Batch cooking is a great way to create meals on a budget, and from this course you’ll have your own healthy options ready to use. You’ll save time and money with these delicious and economical recipes, and stock up your freezer for a later date.
