In this session you’ll learn about traditional Aboriginal art, which is used to pass on important cultural stories through the generations with no written language. You’ll find out about the patterns and symbols used, and the techniques associated with the Aboriginal people.
You’ll look at the dot work prevalent in Aboriginal art and find out why this style was originally used. Then you’ll get to spend most of the session creating your own unique Aboriginal style visual story which you’ll be able to take home with you.
On this short course you will briefly explore the origins of Aboriginal art – look at some of the more famous images and artists from this time and then, with tutor support, have a go at creating your own Aboriginal influenced art image to take home with you.
The course fee is displayed at the top of this page.
