What will I learn?

On this half-day photography course, you’ll learn how to shoot like a pro, using either a camera or smart-phone. Discover simple techniques to frame the perfect shot, make the most of natural light, and capture the beauty of Bridlington’s Gothic and Georgian architecture. You’ll explore how to tell powerful visual stories and edit your photos with ease using quick, accessible tools. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just looking to sharpen your skills, this hands-on session will give you the confidence and creativity to see your surroundings in a whole new light.

If you are looking for work or aiming for a change of role, then your tutor will also make you aware of the employability programmes we have available to support you in achieving your employment goals.

What do I need to join the course?

This course is designed as a relaxed, enjoyable day out, perfect for anyone who wants to explore Bridlington while learning new skills. You’ll need to bring a camera or smartphone and have comfortable footwear, as we’ll be walking between local landmarks throughout the session. Please note that a reasonable level of mobility is required, as the course includes gentle walking over a variety of surfaces, including cobbled streets and promenade paths.

Please note: Food and drinks will not be provided during the opportunity. However, there are a variety of local facilities nearby where you can purchase refreshments or take comfort breaks as needed. These arrangements will be at your discretion.

Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended!

What do I need to provide for the first session?

For this learning opportunity, you will need access to a fully-charged digital camera, spare batteries, a notebook or journal, and a reasonable level of mobility. Don’t forget to bring along food and refreshments for yourself.
