What will I learn?

On the pottery for beginners course, you will learn essential hand building techniques of pinching, coiling and slab building to shape clay. You will also explore a range of decorative techniques which add texture to personalise your creations. Guided by an experienced tutor, you’ll create both your technical skills and creative expression. On this course you’ll leave feeling inspired and relaxed through clay.

What do I need to join the course?

All materials and tools will be provided, you just need to bring your creativity and a willingness to get stuck in! The course is suitable for enthusiastic beginners and those with some prior experience with clay. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy, and bring an apron if you have one. Come ready to experiment, create, and enjoy the process.
