What will I learn?

On this session, you will make:

• Baked Lemon Cheesecake
• Lemon Posset

Our tutor will guide you through the processes of preparing and assembling these delicious summer treats.  You will also learn some useful tips and tricks to impress your friends and guests with your presentation skills.

As well as working in groups, you will benefit from regular time working with your tutor, discussing your progress and planning your next steps. They will also tell you about all of the other great opportunities that you have access to including help with developing your skills, joining one of our creative skills classes or sessions to improve your health, wellbeing, confidence or resilience. If you are looking for work or aiming for a change of role, then your tutor will also make you aware of the employability programmes we have available to support you in achieving your employment goals.

Our team will be there to support you at every step of your journey and we always welcome your feedback to help us ensure that you feel safe, happy, supported and welcome.

What do I need to join the course?

Just an enthusiasm to learn and a willingness to have a go. Please note that East Riding of Yorkshire Council is unable to guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. If you would like more information prior to booking please contact us.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

Please bring an apron with you and two containers with lids to take home what you make.

What could I do next?

Learning for Leisure is just the beginning. Many of our learners find that attending one opportunity sparks a whole new journey. Whether it’s developing a creative talent, building confidence in a new skill, or rediscovering the joy of learning.
