Do you ever feel stuck or unsure when using your phone, tablet or laptop? These friendly and relaxed drop-in sessions are designed to help you get past those barriers and start feeling more confident with technology.
During your session, you will get the chance to bring along a digital problem or task that matters to you, whether that’s sending an email, using an app, accessing a service, or something else you’ve been struggling with. You will be supported step by step to find a solution in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
This drop-in session is ideal for anyone who wants a bit of extra help with everyday technology, especially if you’re looking to build your confidence, become more independent, or feel less frustrated when things don’t go to plan.

During this session, you will focus on something that matters to you. You will bring along a digital task or problem and with support, you will learn how to work through it step by step so you can feel more confident and capable using technology in your everyday life.
You will build practical skills by working on a real task, helping you to use your phone, tablet, or laptop more independently. You will also develop the confidence to try things for yourself and make progress with your own personal goals.

By focusing on your own goals, you will gain skills that are meaningful and useful in your daily life, so you can feel more confident in your ability to tackle digital tasks and continue developing your skills beyond the session.

If you choose to join this course you will be supported by our dedicated staff, learn in a small friendly and welcoming group, have the opportunity to take part in activities to practise your skills, be encouraged to continue to practise when you are away from the classroom and receive lots of encouragement to help you build both your skills and your confidence.
As well as working in groups, you will benefit from regular time working with your tutor, discussing your progress and planning your next steps. They will also tell you about all of the other great opportunities that you have access to including help with developing your skills, joining one of our creative skills classes or sessions to improve your health, wellbeing, confidence or resilience. If you are looking for work or aiming for a change of role, then your tutor will also make you aware of the employability programmes we have available to support you in achieving your employment goals.

You don’t need any qualifications or experience to join this course. Before you start you will have a chat with one of our advisors to make sure this is the right course for you to help you reach your goals.
You don’t need to bring anything with you to take part, but you might like to bring along your own device if you need some help using it.
At the end of the session, we’ll help you think about what you’d like to do next. This might be another course to help you learn more about using digital devices or to help you get into volunteering, get more involved in your community or to prepare for work. You’ll get support to help plan your next steps and keep moving forward.
