Fancy having a go at sewing? This fun and informal taster session is the perfect opportunity to give sewing a try. During the session, you’ll explore some simple patchwork and sewing techniques while creating your own colourful patched piece to use for an oven handler or a cushion cover to take home. Ideal for beginners or anyone wanting to try something creative, this relaxed two-hour session will give you a taste of patchwork sewing and the confidence to explore it further.

What will I learn?

During the session, you'll learn how to prepare and join fabric pieces to create a simple patchwork design, practise basic sewing machine techniques and use your new skills to create a patchwork piece. You'll leave with your own handmade item, increased confidence and a taste of the techniques you could develop further on one of our sewing courses.

How much will it cost?

The course cost is displayed at the top of the page. This is a full-cost course.
