Curious about colour and how artists use harmony and opposites to make it work? Come along to this relaxed three-hour taster workshop and discover just how much you can create from a few simple colours.
You'll get hands-on with colour mixing, experiment with different combinations and discover some simple ways to control colour which can change the look and feel of your artwork. No previous art experience is needed – just come along, have a go and enjoy being creative.
During this taster workshop, you will be introduced to the basics of colour through simple, practical art activities. You will explore how colours work together and experiment with mixing colours to create different shades, tones and effects. With guidance and demonstrations from your tutor, you’ll have the opportunity to experiment with watercolour and gouache paints and discover some of the different effects you can achieve with each.
