Course details

Every organisation has a set of obejctives and targets it has to work to. As an effective leader its your job to ensure that everyone in your team is clear about what these are, and what they need to do in order to achieve them. The work of individual teams and departments will have an impact on the the objectives and targets of the whole organisation, therefore as a team leader it is vital that when allocating work to team members you must be able to give clear instructions and communicate information effectively, so that everyone knows what is expected of them and by when. If clear instructions are not given to the team members, this may lead to mistakes being made, poor performance, incomplete tasks, and tasks not completed on time or unwanted results.

This course covers: the importance of planning and allocating work to team members, delegating work effectively,managing team performance and how to take corrective action for underperformance.

What do I need to join the course?

No prior subject knowledge required.

In order to join this eLearning course you will need:
A reliable internet connection, a computer/Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone, you may also choose to use a headset or earphones with a microphone attachment. You may also wish to have a notepad and pen available for making any notes. You should ensure that you have a suitable place to study that is free from any distractions.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

Commit to completing all elements of the eLearning module including the activities and assessments. Application of your learning into the workplace are essential to strengthening your day to day practice.

How will I be taught?

The e-learning module will comprise of information, activities and assessments. You should allow at least three hours to complete the e-learning activity and sufficient time to implement and practice the learning and activities to consolidate learning.

  • How to allocate work to team members so they know what is expected of them
  • How to set SMART objectives and targets with the team and what to consider
