Do you have a camera? Do you just use the automatic settings?

Perhaps you would like to take up photography as a self-employment option?

On this course we will show you how to use the full capability of your digital camera to effectively capture and save your special moments and memories.

In these two-hour sessions you will come together with likeminded people and be given guidance on using your digital camera, the rules of composition and how to download, save and print your images: you will be allowed plenty of time to practice and experiment with photography.

During each session your tutor will guide you through how best to use your camera’s functions to execute different photography styles.

What will I learn?

During the course you will learn how to identify the buttons and different modes of your own camera, how to capture images using different compositional elements and how to download, save and print your images effectively.

What is it like to learn with East Riding Adult Learning and Employability?

At East Riding Adult Learning and Employability we pride ourselves on the support we give to our learners, from the very time you contact us, to the day you achieve your goals.

As well as working in groups, you will benefit from regular time working with your tutor, discussing your progress and planning your next steps. They will also tell you about all of the other great opportunities that you have access to including help with developing your skills, joining one of our creative skills classes or sessions to improve your health, wellbeing, confidence or resilience. If you are looking for work or aiming for a change of role, then your tutor will also make you aware of the employability programmes we have available to support you in achieving your employment goals.
