During this conversational Spanish course, we will be focusing on developing your language and grammar skills on the theme of ‘Me and my family’.

Over the six weeks you will learn vocabulary which will enable you to talk to others about yourself, your job, and your family.

There are lots of reasons that you might choose to learn to speak Spanish, whether it be for travel, employment, leisure, family connections, or research. So, if you’re heading to a Spanish speaking country on holiday or for business, or if you have Spanish family and friend connections and want to start to hold simple conversations, this course is for you.

This course is part of our conversational Spanish programme which will enable you to develop your knowledge and improve your basic grammar in Spanish on the theme of 'Me and my family'.

What will I learn?

You’ll learn:

  • how to hold basic conversations in Spanish about yourself and your family.
  • how to give details about where you live and what you look like, using a range of descriptive vocabulary.
  • how to give specific details, such as your date of birth, your email address and other contacts details.
  • how to describe your job to other people and explain what kind of work you do or would like to do how to describe your family members, as well as to ask others questions about themselves, their jobs and their friends and family.

If you are looking for work or aiming for a change of role, then your tutor will also make you aware of the employability programmes we have available to support you in achieving your employment goals.

What do I need to join the course?

Enthusiasm to learn! You will benefit from having attended the Spanish: Essential vocabulary course.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

You may find it useful to have a notebook and pen to make notes.
