Machine embroidery is a great way to decorate all kinds of textiles, from quilts and pillows to wall hangings and clothing. It can be a fun, relaxing hobby and this course will build on basic skills with more advanced creative techniques.

On this course we will look at incorporating creative elements into your machine embroidery and you’ll develop and explore your new found skills by working on your own project. You’ll bring your own unique design to life, with support from a friendly, knowledgeable tutor.

The possibilities with machine embroidery are endless, and the techniques you’ll learn on this course will open new avenues of creativity.

What will I learn?

You will learn:

  • how to design, plan, cost out and complete a project of your choice
  • what fabrics, techniques and threads to use for the best results
  • how to use appliqué techniques to enhance your design ideas.
