Course details

Most adults don't express themselves with art as they did when they were children.

Whether you consider yourself ‘good’ at art or struggle to draw even a stick figure, art is a valuable pastime and a fantastic way to reduce stress.

On this Try course, you’ll look at different art techniques to help you express your thoughts and encourage relaxation.

So, if you’d like to be creative but don’t know how to start, this course will help you to create something that’s just for you and show you new ways to relax and take ‘me’ time.

What will I learn?

  • You will experiment with different materials.
  • You will discuss how art activities help relaxation and support health and wellbeing.
  • You will start to learn about the effective use of tints and shades to create mood and expression.
  • You will start to experiment with form and pattern.
