Watercolour painting can be beautiful but you may be intimidated by the flowing colors, the unpredictable pigment, how much water to use etc.

If you’ve never tried this method before this is the course for you!

We’ll look at the very basic methods to allow you to feel in control of the process. You’ll learn how to use the ‘wet on wet’ and ‘wet on dry’ methods and experiment with the different effects you can produce with this delicate medium.

In this session we will look briefly at the history of watercolour painting but you’ll get to spend most of the session creating your own unique image which you’ll be able to take home with you.

What will I learn?

  • a brief history of watercolour
  • what materials to use for watercolour painting
  • how to use colour effectively in watercolour painting
  • how to use the wet on wet and wet on dry techniques
