We are bombarded with advertising, competitions and news stories, but how much of it can we trust? How confident are you that you can spot a scam? This short course will explore some of the most common scams and ways to identify them. It will help to increase your awareness of online risks and how to report scams.

What do I need to join the course?

No prior knowledge is needed to join this course however it may be useful for you to have some experience with using emails and the internet as some scams discussed are related to these specific areas

What do I need to provide for the first session?

A willingness to learn and engage in the session. You may wish to bring along a pen and paper to make your own notes.

How will I be taught?

This course will be delivered by an experienced tutor and will include group activities, scam examples and individual exercises.
