We've all had the experience: Driving through a beautiful landscape or looking at a spectacular building. You take photographs to try and capture the drama of what you see. You get home, look at the pictures, and find them flat and boring. All the elements that excited you at the time are there, but not the feeling.

This course will help you to extend your photography skills to successfully capture still life, architectural images, and street scenes. You will look at these techniques as well as Bokeh and Crystal ball photography and learn how to use different lighting styles and depth of field for maximum impact.

During each session, your tutor will guide you through how best to use your camera’s functions to execute different photography styles. You will meet like-minded people and be given guidance on using your digital camera to best effect - you will be allowed plenty of time to practice and experiment with photography.

With your tutor, you’ll go out on field trips to capture magical images!

What will I learn?

You will learn about:

  • landscape photography using different white balance settings and lighting styles
  • street photography
  • still life photographs, using different depths of field and lighting effects
  • monochrome photographs concentrating on contrast
  • painting with light, Bokeh, and Crystal Ball photography
