Course details

Have you ever wondered just how you’d go about crocheting a hat, scarf, or blanket? If so, then this Try session is perfect for you – we think you’ll end up hooked on crochet by the time you leave.

Over two fun hours you’ll learn how to create a basic crochet stitch or two and learn more about the unique items you could be making for yourself or your friends and family. You’ll get to go home with your very own crocheted swatch, and you’ll find out about the follow-on crochet courses we offer if you want to learn more and how beneficial to your wellbeing learning a new craft skill can be!

What will I learn?

On this course you will begin to learn some of the terminology used in patterns and have a go at making some basic stitches, that you will be able to link together to make a small swatch of crochet to take away with you.

You will learn about what our follow-on courses include enabling you to decide about carrying on with your studies.

You will also explore how learning a new skill can positively benefit your health and wellbeing.

How much will it cost?

This course is free.
