Creating something new and unique using patchwork and quilting techniques is really satisfying – and it’s great for the environment too, meaning that old clothes and fabrics can be reused instead of thrown away.
On this free Try session you’ll learn the basics of this absorbing and traditional craft, using a sewing machine as well as trying out some hand stitching too. You’ll even make your own unique piece to take home with you.
Then if you enjoy the session, you’ll have the opportunity to find out about how you can take your learning further, with one of our more in-depth courses.

If you are looking for work or aiming for a change of role, then your tutor will also make you aware of the employability programmes we have available to support you in achieving your employment goals.

Craft materials will be supplied on the day. Bring along a notebook and pen for any notes that you want to make.
After successfully completing this course you and your tutor will discuss your progression to further develop your crafting skills, you may choose to progress to further patchwork and quilting courses.
