What do I need to join the course?

A willingness to learn and a positive attitude! You would benefit from being confident in accessing the internet on your device. You do not need any prior knowledge of online shopping to join this course. If you would like to brush up on your internet skills first, we have a range of courses to help you with using the internet on your computer, smartphone or tablet. Speak to one of our friendly members of staff to find out more about these courses.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

You might find it helpful to bring a notebook and pen to make some notes to help with your learning. If you want to learn how to online shop using your smartphone or tablet, you are welcome to bring this to the session. We will have PCs and tablets available for use during the session if you do not wish to bring your own.

If you are attending virtually, you will need to make sure you have a suitable PC/laptop to allow you to join the virtual group with your tutor. You will be sent a link to Microsoft Teams, which can be accessed through the web browser, so you will require a stable internet connection to join the course.

What could I do next?

You can choose to complete some of our other digital courses to improve your computer skills. As a next step, you could choose to learn about managing files and folders on a computer, or even managing your emails on a computer, smartphone or tablet.
