If English is not your first language, join this course for the opportunity to improve your vocabulary, develop your grammar and practice speaking English with others.

You’ll learn new words and phrases to help you feel more confident talking to others about health and wellbeing. You’ll learn language for talking about healthy food, looking after your wellbeing and for making and attending health appointments.

You’ll be in a small, friendly class and you’ll have lots of opportunities to practice speaking and listening in English and to develop your reading and writing skills.

What will I learn?

On this course you’ll learn:

  • A range of new vocabulary and the meanings of key words linked to health and wellbeing
  • The names of healthy food items
  • To describe different activities linked to wellbeing
  • A range of signs, vocabulary and key phrases used in a healthcare environment.

This course is FREE.

What do I need to join the course?

You must be 19+ to join this course and be committed to attending all of the sessions.

If this is the first ESOL course you will study with us, you’ll have an appointment with our Advisor before you start to make sure that you are enrolled on the course at the right level for you.

What do I need to provide for the first session?

We recommend that you bring a notebook and a pen.
