Art and drawing are known to be great methods to help reduce stress.

Adults don’t often allow themselves the time to practice art or drawing to relieve anxiety and stress, but it can do wonders for many people.

On this course, you’ll use a variety of materials and techniques to create art and help you to relax in a friendly and supportive setting.

You’ll learn how (and where) to make room for art in your everyday life, and how this can positively impact your general health and wellbeing, helping you to focus, feel calm and take more notice of the world around you.

So if you are looking for a new way to relax and have the space to be mindful, this course will help you to create something that’s just for you and your personal wellbeing.

What will I learn?

The main purpose of this course is to explore relaxation through experimentation with different art forms, practice ‘being in the moment’ and find a technique which helps you to relax and unwind.

We will look at drip, dot, and water colour painting; you will also experiment with pastels, water colour, crayons and acrylic paints.

How much will it cost?

The course fee is displayed at the top of this page.

This course is supported by Tailored Learning funding with an aim of improving health and wellbeing. A fee concession may be available dependent on your circumstances.
