If you're interested in taking up creative writing, but are not sure where to begin, then this course could be the ideal opportunity you've been looking for to get started and have a go at putting pen to paper
On this course, you’ll have the opportunity to learn key creative writing techniques, such as planning your writing, profiling your characters, using different perspectives and developing your writerly voice. Your tutor will explain and demonstrate a range of techniques in each area, so you can experiment and find out what works for you. Your tutor will also provide inspiration and encouragement every step of the way, so you can build your confidence as you take your first steps into the world of creative writing.
In each session you’ll have the chance to share your work and to receive feedback from your writing group. Your tutor will also provide constructive feedback and support to help you to build confidence in expressing your ideas and to feel empowered to carry on writing and developing your skills beyond the end of your course.
What will I learn?

- Use inspirational prompts to help you to get you started with your writing right from the first session
- Develop character profiles and experiment with plot planning techniques
- Learn about writing from different points of view
- Reflect on your writing and how it could be improved further.
