Are you looking to understand the meaning of your dreams and to learn more about yourself? Maybe you have a recurring dream and want to develop a greater understanding of its meaning? People have been fascinated with dreams and their meanings for hundreds of years. Most felt that dreams were, at the very least, a glimpse into the future. This course will develop your awareness of how dreams can give insight into themes associated with your own sense of self, helping you to uncover personal meaning to your dreams and so supporting a greater sense of wellbeing in life.

What are you doing to keep learners safe?

The safety of our learners and staff is our top priority and we’ve made some big changes to our centres, from socially-distanced training rooms to staggered start times. Although things will look different, our staff will be as friendly and helpful as ever and we’re really excited to welcome learners back.

If you’re concerned about visiting one of our centres, please get in touch so we can discuss it with you.

What do I need to join the course?

You do not need any prior experience: all you need is an interest in the subject and a willingness to share your dreams with us.

What do I need to bring with me to the first session?

You may like to bring a notepad and pen.

How will I be taught?

As part of this session you will have the opportunity to discuss dreams that you may have in pairs and small groups and be guided by the tutor to add meaning and start to make sense of the messages that your dreams could be conveying.

What will I learn?

On this course you will:

  • learn to identify themes related to your dreams
  • discover how any personal issues causing stress can arise in your dreams
  • begin to understand your dreams, supporting a greater sense of health and wellbeing
  • be able to use different ways of interpreting your dreams.

What could I do next?

Our health and wellbeing courses are designed to help you live a better life and to improve your physical and emotional wellbeing. Your tutor will talk to you about our other health and wellbeing courses including self-esteem and confidence building, mindfulness, gardening, arts. crafts and creative courses for example. You will also be able to find out more about our range of counselling and mental health courses – designed to give you the skills, and qualifications, to help others. If you want to try a different subject then we offer a range of opportunities in computer skills, English, maths, employability, creative skills, retail, photography, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS) and more.

Can we help you to learn?
